Our Staff and Training

Saffron Care Homes acknowledge that its employees represent its greatest asset. Therefore, by providing opportunities, facilities and financial support for training, Saffron Care Homes aim to ensure that all of its employees are in possession of the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to perform their jobs to the highest standard. To this end, Saffron Care Homes is committed to functioning as a learning organisation and to providing all of its employees with the opportunity for training and re-training in accordance with their own needs and those of the organisation.

All staff recruited will have the necessary experience and training to work with people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, Learning Disabilities and managing challenging behaviours.

They will receive induction and ongoing training and development to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to provide a specialist service of a high standard. Staffing levels will be tailored to individuals needs and will be sufficient to ensure that peoples’ needs are met fully. In the house, residents will have one to one support as a minimum. Additional support will be provided when accessing the community.

CQC Report

We carried out this inspection under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. This inspection was planned to check whether the provider is meeting the legal requirements and regulations associated with the Health and Social Care Act 2008, to look at the overall quality of the service, and to provide a rating for the service under the Care Act 2014.

Care Quality Commission Report

Before the inspection, we reviewed information we held about the service, which included notifications the provider had sent us. A notification is information about important events which the provider is required to send us by law. We also contacted the commissioners of the service and the local Healthwatch (an independent consumer champion for health and social care) to obtain their views about the care provided by the service.
